    My design finally works!
    by Pep_T
    Hi everyone,

I would like to share the progress I’ve made on my metal detector project so far. The analog front-end is largely the same as the VLF DISC design of the ITMD3, but there is a strong digital electronics component. The adaptation to the TX frequency, demodulator clock generation,...

what is the best detector you have built

GROUND BALANCE ( without the ground :-) )
    by moodz
It would be great if detectors just didnt see the ground at all ... just turn them on and detect away.
    Here is a thought experiment.
One way of looking at this mathematically : a detector is working by "solving" a set of simulateous equations.

    for example

    Bipolar PI design
    by ivconic
It is very difficult to find anything in the book that is not very interesting.
But I immediately decided on the Bipolar PI design as the first thing to focus on.
There are several reasons for that.
First, I like the idea of a "non-invasive" detection method because

    Ferrite and Drift
    by Daves
    Hi,
We are talking about direct sampling, a single frequency detector.
I turn on the device. I set the ferrite response to be 179 or 0 degree . I am using the device and half an hour later, when I hold the ferrite to the device again, I get a reading of 0.5 degrees.
