Hi everyone,
I would like to share the progress I’ve made on my metal detector project so far. The analog front-end is largely the same as the VLF DISC design of the ITMD3, but there is a strong digital electronics component. The adaptation to the TX frequency, demodulator clock generation,...

by moodzIt would be great if detectors just didnt see the ground at all ... just turn them on and detect away.
Here is a thought experiment.
One way of looking at this mathematically : a detector is working by "solving" a set of simulateous equations.

But I immediately decided on the Bipolar PI design as the first thing to focus on.
There are several reasons for that.
First, I like the idea of a "non-invasive" detection method because...-

by DavesHi,
We are talking about direct sampling, a single frequency detector.
I turn on the device. I set the ferrite response to be 179 or 0 degree . I am using the device and half an hour later, when I hold the ferrite to the device again, I get a reading of 0.5 degrees.- Do I need to get feedback
