I've seen some very similar crutches with almost identical cups being used by elderly people. I bought mine second hand as "the granny doesn't need them any more"

I didn't find a better picture than this one:

Something locally available (distributed in Croatia too, under different name), around 12-13E, very practical (this particular “safe in” model).

I've seen those as well, but the model I'm thinking of is much closer to Bernte's request.

Point is that those are often available second hand.

            Hi Bernte
Will tell you a secret to make the perfect arm cup thats looks so professional people will think its a ML or such like.
Been using these for the last 20-30years and no one has cottoned on to what they actually are made of.
Go and buy a length of plastic waist pipe, the type that is so commonly used as a down pipe from roof guttering to the main drain or soak away.
Cut the width you require and cut dead center and you automatically have two cups , Get a file and round the corners, sand sheen off surface , Coat of base paint, then two coats of any colour you desire.
My latest is electric blue because I am always on the look out for spray paint flog offs in auto shops.

To Summarize : its cheap as chips, Very available, (almost every house uses them) you can cut cups to any depth you fancy, so very adaptable to arm/elbow thickness, robust, Light as a feather, non conductive, And icing on the cake professional finish.

So very simple to produce and very effective.
If you want any pictures of any I made over the years just ask and will put some on here, they tail back from the 70s with my first project from Everyday electronics 1972 .

Food for thought if you dont want to make them yourself then I will make them for you at £5.00 each +pp, any colour you chose as a one off, then after that its buy one get one free at the same price.

            Regards
