I know that this is probably looking for a needle in a haystack but I need to ask.....anyway if this is impossible maybe someone can help me fix the existing coil....I have been told that it has phase shifted....I have no idea on what that may mean.....Thanks Joe

Is this your detector? I noticed someone else asking the same question and posted some questions for him but he never responded. So, now, I will ask you similar questions.
Does your coil work in the all metal mode? Does it ground balance at all in the AM mode? Is the coil marked in any way to indicate it works on the AU52? What color is the coil?
A friend has offered to send his AU52 to me to do some experiments with my LCR meter on his coil. Unfortunately, he says his coil isn't working quite right either. He did indicate he also had the AU2000, so I asked him to try the coil from the 2000 on the 52 to see if it works.
