follow what I tell about right shielding of housing in DP thread, because IMO the shielding is important matter for the stabile work of DP.

few if any know about necessity of the shielding. I wasted much time to gripe why DP sometimes unstabile because DP was without the shield.
because anyone is keeping the detector at breast there is some kinda influence of electrostatic charge of operator body at the circuit through
a housing bottom.

you could also use 8.2V 1N4738 1 Watt Zener DiodeComment

'9' - this is 9 V, '8' - this is 8V. they are not to be marking like something '1N756', they marked by the voltage.
if you can not find the diode then stay a resistor 100 kOhm in this place.
about VD15 STTH1210D. open folder on DVD you got with PCB 'Delta Pulse Sniffer XR-71' then open folder 'diodes for Delta'. in this folder is all information on the replacement.
if you can not find the diode stay then nothing, in this place solder a wire jumper.

I checked on my PCB DTV56F diode that used in CRT monitors and TV's (CRT HORIZONTAL DEFLECTION, HIGH VOLTAGE DAMPER DIODE). it is on 5-10A, slightly warm working.
