My small test coil attracts hair. Also makes sound. Is this a fault?

You can cut aluminum can, flatten with hammer and cover inside faces of your wooden box neatly.

I still not sure where on pcb enclosure is grounded.

You are not paying attention to looking at photos in album. You must spend some time with yourself in solace and meditation. All is there if you have eyes to see. Be patient, walk slow and steady. You will accomplish your task.
This is where I see a pcb shield is connected on older photo. According to the schematic, this is the HOUSING SHIELD. KT315 must clarify this.

Thank you Dbanner but it does not pinpoint whether it connects with R59 or R60. I can't see kt coming out of his housing shield to proceed with this board. Maybe next he will ask me to take the board to mount Everest for testing and connect a gold plated coil with. So far there is nothing special about the detection depth.

Yes it does,but you do not take the time to see it is connected to R60. Look at silkscreen and you will see R60.
You must accept reality, you do not have the requisite skill to attempt such an advanced project. You need KT315 to hold your hand and guide you through to a successful completion of your project. So you should be respectful and very appreciative of his efforts.
The DP is perhaps the deepest pulse detector bar NONE. When correctly adjusted it will go very deep.

There is no doubt about my level of skill and knowledge. But the demand for ebay/banggood enclosure and graphite coating is unjustified and alarming. The board is inside the tin man enclosure but no significant detection. No significant reduction in noise. I fear worse.

main problem of this people they do not want to notice if graphite layer covering up inside the box then needed contact with pcb
is via shielded potentiometers' enclosures getting automatically. certainly in case if you grounded the pots by naked wire to the point for shield - resistor R59.
that done especcialy so people DO NOT HAS TO THINK how shield organized and where are the points of shielding overloading
my mind by blank requests and their minds by the info they do not want understand of.

as i told many times i do some things dropping off them on lowest level - level of the empty-headed kitchen-wife.

thats why you do not see the wire to shield in my box, but i even so show for people where are those points but anyway they turn up fool misunderstanding.
certainly, i am discouraged and in full prostration - i am not able to speak with those people by simplest electronics basics.
