I enjoy building headphones, I normally use Pro Ears muffs but wanted to try something different so I bought a set of MSA muffs. They are very comfortable, I used 600 ohm speakers that produce a nice mellow tone, a volume control and a compatibility toggle switch. The set pictured was my first phones that I made out of the MSA's and I did not use a strain relief on the cord and I used a straight plug but on some of the sets I have sold I used a strain relief and a 90 degree plug. And have also put a jack on some of the phones and made up a cord with a straight end on one of the cord and a 90 degree on the other end of the cord so you can use either or on your detector. Time you buy the muffs, parts to make the phones, plus the shipping it adds up to more than one would think but there is just something about making something yourself. If any of you are interested in a set give me a shout
