if anyone could write a simple how to guide to Programm the atmel i would try
in the past i had Problems with atmel programmers so i do most with microchip pic Controller

You have to use Hardware STK-200/300 and software Pony prog-2006. Look at the picture below to see how to determine fuse bits.
