It is good you got your components - just don't get arrested with a metal detector in Egypt
I have sent many kits to many countries, some countries I choose not to send too as packages get lost or held by customs
My choice , do not admonished me

I agree with Silverdog. After posting numerous first edition copies of "Inside the METAL DETECTOR" to the far reaches of the globe, I can concur that some countries are a real problem. From the photo of the envelope I can see some [extra] detailed instructions for the postman, plus a mobile phone number. And sometimes this is just not enough for certain countries. In some cases I had to ask the buyer to supply the address in his own language, as well as English, and with a phone number. Even then the parcel would go astray. That's one of the major reasons why Edition 2 is now only available from Amazon. No more postal worries, as it's someone else's problem.

It's not that it is impossible to send anything to Egypt, but the fact that parcels often go astray, never to be seen again. Egypt is not the only country where this happens, and it's happens often enough for some countries to get blacklisted. I can tell you that from first-hand experience.

I agree that it is not impossible. But ... suppose you order parts from Andy, then he posts them to your address in Egypt and they get lost in the post. Who has to take the risk? Will you expect Andy to re-send the order free of charge, or are you prepared to lose the money and have to order again? The problem is that parcels very often go astray when sending to certain countries, and unfortunately Egypt is one of them.

From the sellers point of view it is better to just not send items to certain countries. That's why ITMD is now only sold via Amazon. We let them take the risk. Some companies (like DHL) have their own blacklist.

Of course Mr. Qiaozhi I respect your point of view it is possible to gamble and lose my money But the experiment must be even learn from the mistakes we have in Egypt, the postman does not care about address and but depends on the postman mobile number for tipping I mean, phone number the written on consignment is the address I sent money to Mr. Seven through Western Union Company and the easiest Li despite high the cost Please can you send electronic components to circuit Barracuda

If I sell anything, and send it through the mail, I always have it insured. Once sold a Vaquero 5hat then ended up going 'missing'. Wasn't the buyers fault, as I tracked it online, but I was sure glad I'd insured it. Explained to him what happened, refunded his money, then got a cheque in the mail a few weeks after submitting my claim.

some people will never understand, and to be honest its not always about packages going missing some countries its just not a good idea to send metal detectors, kits or even parts thereof you have to respect and be mindful of local laws evn if you dont agree with them.

                          Dear Silverdog,
I am a novice to this site. Want to make a quick start to engage in the versatile hammerhead project.
do you have Hammerhead II boards or complete kits available.
what does it cost P&P to send them to the Netherlands.
On what email adress can I place my order.

                          Thanks,
                          Dutchie
