  • Easy GPR system

    Dear All,

We are proud to announce readiness of our Easy Ground Penetration Radar (EGPR) product to make your effort efficient and easy. Take a look on our new web site (https://egpr.pro/) and the real application from its Demo page (https://egpr.pro/en/demo/).

EGPR is a flexible and modern solution for a wide range of use cases in the field on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. It consists of special Application Controller (AC) with embedded powerful computer and software providing extremely fast and robust connectivity, easy radar control, effective data processing and storage features.

AC is more than GPR control unit consisting of both Hardware and Software components. It is a portable and elegant data lab which is able to fit your hand, conference table or any GPR system on the field incorporating all the hardware and software staff required for easy and efficient fulfillment.

EGPR Hardware is a fast and powerful multi-core system (dual core CPU @ 1 GHz) with low power consumption (less than 2 W), big amount of memories (1 GB RAM, 4 GB eMMC and 120 or more GB SSD) and wide set of peripherals (Gigabit wired LAN, 802.11n wireless WiFi Access Point, 3 USB Hosts, optional 100 MB WAN and optional GPS). The hardware is equipped with 6600 mAh LiPo battery (enough to work more than 10 hours) and is packed in stylish and strong metal box been part of the perfect passive cooling system and safeguarding internal staff against harmful environment.

EGPR Software is distributed system with extremely low latency functioning as a web application supported by both Application Controller (as Linux based Web Server) and any user device (as Web Client). The client software is able to run on any device (desktop computer, tablet, phablet, smart phone etc.) with any operating system (Linux, MacOS, Windows etc.) having any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, IE etc.). The server software is vendor independent and can be easily ported to other hardware or operating system. The system software is based on one of the best Linux distributions (Debian Jessie) and contains the latest Kernel and package staff.

    Dear All,

While talking with our potential customers we found one uncovered GPR problem – the big “blind” range of antennas especially at bigger penetration.

For now this problem is solving with a few scans with different antennas having different central frequencies, maximal penetrating depths and “blind” ranges respectively. Unfortunately, this approach has many disadvantages like more time for multiple scans, difficulties at synchronization of independent data, bigger archives etc.

Our EGPR Application Controller is capable to capture data from many GPR antennas simultaneously and the software which can synchronize them at visualization effectively. That is why we start looking for an interest to extend our EGPR product in this new direction.

Any comments and recommendations are welcome.

    Best regards
    EGPR Team

Do you have live demonstration available anywhere in central Europe? I may need a GPR for piping application, but live demonstration should help in decision making.
Also, do you have a demonstration of a problem with antennas you mentioned before? Perhaps some of us can help.
I noticed on the above picture that you only have standard displays that can't possibly work well with sunshine.

Piping is one of traditional applications of standard GPR devices. Our EGPR Application Controller and Software make the usage easier and efficient.
Our demo (https://egpr.pro/en/demo/) as real live application is accessible worldwide. The client software will run on any device connected to Internet.
EGPR Application Controllers are located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The GPR data are simulated but some of the archives are from real scans.

There is no need of special demonstration. GPR antenna specifications from all manufacturers are pointing a scan range and the minimal depth depends on central frequency and maximal depth.
When maximal penetration depth is tens of meters the scan range starts from a few meters. This “blind” range can be covered by scanning with another antenna having smaller maximal and minimal penetration depths.

Our idea is to add support for multiply GPR antennas simultaneously. This will help to acquire all data with single scan and to visualize and store them in synchronized manner.

We have no embedded display in our EGPR Application Controller. Any device (desktop, tablet, laptop, smartphone etc.) can be used to run the client software.
Many of the latest models mobile devices have displays working very well at direct sunshine so the end user have to choose it according to the own requirements.

          Hi EGPR Team

What is yours return policy in case that apparatus doesn't work as proclaimed?

            OK, I see. Thanks.
I couldn't see pricing information. You can send it to me via private message. Renting option is also interesting.
BTW, the standard displays working well at direct sunshine is not what I experienced so far. And it is a deal breaker for professionals, so if you encounter a device that works really well in sunshine, please recommend it loudly. Point is - most of the mobile devices suck at direct sunlight.
