I just received your package. Thank you ever so much for the bag of parts, they will be extremely useful. (I have already obtained a dozen of the correct blue terminal block connectors.)
Rather than simply soldering all the parts into the PC board... to make certain that all the parts are functioning (as you recommended), and... to better understand the circuit, I'm going to first set up your parts in a proto-board at my bench.
Also... thank you for the mystery board ("load board")... What was it designed for ??????
With my calibrated HP 3478A Multimeter and a handful of carefully selected resistors, I could use it to build a precision dummy load for HF, or... I could create a very accurate "standard" resistor combination at some very specific value... I am puzzled as to what it was actually designed for...
As I have noted previously, I am attempting to build a precision "LC Tester" much like the one created by Bill Carver, K6OLG in the Winter 1993 issue of Communications Quarterly Magazine.
