  • Crossbow Classic PI

    Hi guys.

i am wanting to sell my Crossbow Classic PI. i am just wondering if ?650 is a reasonable price to sell it for? it comes with 3 coils, charger and has a built in high capacity lithium-ion battery.
George Overton kindly did something to the machine for me a while back. so that i would be able to use the new 18" coil with it, as well as the other two coils.
it's sad i know, but the machine has only ever been tested a number of times in the garden. never used out in the fields. i always charge the battery from time to time.

    thanks in advance.

Just so that everyone is aware ... the Crossbow Classic PI above is not one of the original units. This is a clone which was built using a PCB layout that I sent to Sven, and I think this particular unit was made in Scotland.
The differences are a straight shaft, the control box is mounted upside down, lithium cells instead of NiMH, but no battery indicator. Apart from that it operates in the same way as the originals. There are two damping resistors on the back of the coil connector, and appropriate plug wiring allows the detector to use different coils.
No idea on a reasonable price. Only 13 original units were ever made, and a handful of clones. This is a deep machine designed for beach use, or for relic hunting.
