      i think it is too expensive, for a single pcb 39AUD are 24Euro + shipping
      most people arent able to spent much money in diy detectors, also not during corona time

      didnt sold a diy detecftor for long these last year

        maybe good price for a detector based on fast micros, with color display 128x128 point, with VDI and good discrimination of VLF type detector.

          Thanks for the opinion, but I'm not just selling a pcb of a generic unit. There is years of design and testing behind it, and it is the best (i.e. fastest sampling) readily available DIY machine on this forum that I am aware of. It outclasses most commercial units too - except for the very expensive (ie. $5k+) Minelab machines. I also provide construction support, and builders can join a dedicated Facebook constructors group. Cost is one thing. Value is another!

                  For those that are unaware, pulse induction metal detectors are ALL METAL machines. That is, they do not discriminate between iron or any other metals. They are also less susceptible to mineralised/salty ground and generally detect deeper in the ground than continuous wave machines.

                    I have attached some air test results of the Gold-Max Pi using a 12" Advantage Nugget Finder coil (it uses bunch wound Litz wire). A flat wound Litz wire coil will perform even better!

                        It's a commercial coil, so I can't advise what thickness wire they use, but I can advise that I've made my own 7.5" flat wound coil that uses 175 x 0.04 Litz wire, and I love it! The 7.5" flat wound coil detects only around 3-4 cm less than the bunch wound 12" coil.

                          I was referencing your graph. Aluminum foil (Square) 0.2mm. 0.2mm or.02mm?

                              I've done some testing with regular kitchen foil, closer to .02mm thick. Time constant for 1inch square is about 1.8us. If similar aluminum, 0.2mm thick would be 18us. Don't know why stacking would make it easier to detect.
