I took the X-1 on one relic hunt on my old stomping grounds in Mississippi, and on that day decided that I don't want a machine that goes down that far. I spent the better part of a day digging 10 feet down to an old railroad beam. I thought it might be a cannon. Anyway after that and other rediculously deep hunks of metal(as a relic hunter, I never ignore an iron signal), not to mention a sore arm from swinging that giant coil around, I've decided that it's just too much machine for my needs.
I did find some deep frags and assorted union and confederate minnies that I had missed with my other machines. Oh, and a Wisconsin coat button that was a nice surprise, but I think someone with a stronger arm and access to alot of flat hunting land would be a better fit for this beast.
Somebody make me an offer please. I paid 3k for it from Essex. I don't expect near that back, but I won't let it go for too much less.
