  • PCB pictures as PDF?

Would it be possible to get the PCB pictures as PDF? I have no means to print gerber files. I'd like to build the Raptor on the coming weekend.

Do you have a screen shot tool on your computer?
Then you can view the Gerber file etc. and just take a picture.

Unfortunately I can't even view them. I have tried several free viewers, but they were mostly infunctional or just advertisement packs.

I'm using Ubuntu linux and gerbv (a free / open source gerber viewer). Works great.

If you're running Windows, download the free gerber viewer from here ->
          http://www.easylogix.de/products_detail.php?prog_id=1
You can then load the relevant files and export them (Tools menu) as either TIF, JPG, PNG or BMP files. If you really want it as a PDF file, then insert the image into a document (with either OpenOffice or LibreOffice - also free) and export as a PDF.
GerberLogix is actually better than Gerbv on Linux, which screws up the display of the drill table. GerberLogix displays it correctly.

Gerbv works. Just set drill file "leading zeros" count to 3 and autodetect off.Click image for larger version

                Aha! ... brilliant!
I never thought about editing the format, as it was set to autodetect (which clearly doesn't function correctly).
                Now it's working - thanks.

Just a note: I noticed when using gerbv I needed to move the layer with drill data to the top (and set the color to white) for the drill holes to become visible.
