Playing around with a Resonant Frequency Calculator at WWW.1728.org and 43nf with 5.9 henrys comes up with 315.98 hertz. I'm building the raptor is there a mistake some where or I just don't understand. I just follow directions not a creator of electronics. Thanks Mike in 24 below MN.

The coil value is 5.9 milli henrys, not 5.9 henrys.

Use this calculator and you should get something like 9992 hz.

Try 5.9 millihenries. And turn the heat up, you'll freeze to death.

The coil is 5m9 (i.e. 5.9mH). A 5.9 henry inductor would be enormous.
With a 43nF capacitor, the frequency is close to 10kHz, but the actual frequency is not critical.

              -24 below 0deg F is equal to ~= -31 deg C. NOTE I used the Apx = to sign!!!
here is the web address for that calculator. just enter the number in right had side and the left will change automaticley.
