    Hi new member here & first post:finally received George & Carl's book today made it through the introduction, yee-hah what ive been looking for thank you! The trigonometry depressed me a little since i failed algebra 1 (lol) know any good algebra links i will have to work up to trig!

      I suppose I'll have to take the blame for that then.
      However, you should be able to understand the general concepts presented without getting too involved in the mathematics.

      and I even stated: "I think you're going to like this" ... but no comment whatsoever ... zippo! So it seems you are not alone with the math-phobia.

      Anyway we did do our best to keep the equations to an absolute minimum, avoiding a dry academic text, and used an easy conversational style that would make it more accessible to a wider audience. We also had to bear in mind that many of our readers would not have English as their first language. Hope you enjoy reading the rest of the book.

        Thanks Carl & Qiaozhi just from skimming the surface of the book and this forum I can tell these are some great minds sharing idea's!Thanks for replies and links funny they made me laugh probally out of fear. Math-phobia thats good I always called it a sick sinking feeling. From working in construction/plumbing if I would have been born with 3 hands no need for those useful math skill's! C
