I have no idea on yes or now. I do not believe Karl would do something like that, but I could be wrong. He had a dealer in the central part of Nebr, which was a strong dealer. And I cannot say yes or no if it was that dealer or not. So myself, I cannot give anyone a definite answer to your question Carl........I knew of Carls location, was there twice, but each time NEVER met him as his store was not open when I was there. So I did not know him personally!

I never believed that the LUE was a bonefide treasure site myself. But again, I could be wrong myself. I personally stuck with bonefide locations in Colorado and went to them with my International Pickup 4.4 outfit myself. That way I was spending my time on a well advertised location in Colorado... I was not known for chasing "will of the wisps" treasure locations... I spent my own time in Cripple Creek Mining District and the Central City and Blackhawk Mining Districts. I own MINING Water Right #2 in the CC Mining and Blackhawk Mining District! Other then those two main ones, I did visit some odd ball sites here and there... One was further west off of the main highway from Colorado Springs to the highway that went north to Leadville......I cannot remember its name now but I used to go there years ago as well... I liked to pick a mining town, famous for its gold and/or silver mines, and go there, rather then chase an TREASURE STORY!!!!!!!! Now I did spend time researching a lot of TREASURE STORIES but did not go and spend time chasing those old stories. I liked the MINING TOWNS myself..... There were a heck of a lot of guys writing booklets about Treasure Stories, and while they were very interesting to read, not sure that most of them were valid stories...Now they might have been, but they were writers of STORIES and one has to keep that in mind before one begins to chase story after story. I was an HISTORIAN, researched a MINING TOWN or MINING DISTRICT, then went to those ones. I had maps of the places, and camped there on several of them... I ended up owning property in several of the mining districts, sold all but the last one which I still own in the CC and Blackhawk Mining District. It is a stone's throw from a very successful gambling CASINO you see! It has Mining water right #2 for the state of Colorado, and it is for sale if anyone wants to buy it...

Now with that MINING RIGHT, one I was told by the department of Water Rights, could apply for COLORADO WATER RIGHT #2 in the state of Colorado, and most likely get it, and use it... But at my age, it is not of interest to me, years ago I would have went for it........I would take $15,000 for the deed to it, and the Mining Water Right #2. The mining water right #2 is on the land, but one could apply for Colorado Water Right #2 and take it to any place inside the State of Colorado. Not guaranting that possible water right, but it is a great possiblity for an investor. I myself am 90+ years old now you see......... I put a map of the Black Hawk area, with the red circle dots showing where my mining land is approximately located at.......One would have to do a iron stake survey location to nail down the actual property stakes though, so only keep that in mind before chasing it... From all apperarances it is across the street from a gambling casino, It is on the side of the mountain, so excavation is necessary to build a construction site for a building. A possilbe building could be a possible gambling casino, but one would have to first get a building permit at the Black Hawk department for building permits. Now the mining right, is on the property land. HOWEVER, the State of Colorado water right, is usually in ANY WHERE in the state of Colorado. So If you wanted to build something some where in the State of Colorado, you owning my land, could apply for and obtain a water right #2 where you wanted to build the building........... That makes my land very valuable for a investor!!!!!!!!!

I believe it is right about several acres of fee simple mining property... It may even be a bit closer to the Black Hawk Casino by Hyatt then where the red dots are shown located.........If you are interested, I have old ancient mining photos of various locations nearby I could send you frorm [email protected] email address...Do not use other then my email address if trying to contact me....It abuts Highway 119 and goes NE over and across that dirt road to the northeast of the site...There are gambling casions all over the Central City area and the Black Hawk areas today so the price is a bargain price. I do not need the money, but need to sell it for CASH offer. Beyon that, I do not even answer any inquiries..............Since I never did a iron stake survey, I only sell it by Quit Claim Deed. But the City of Black Hawk wanted to buy it but they made a crazy lousy offer and I just threw it away and never responded to their stupid offer. I got my deed from Clear Creek County and it is a valid deed...I just throw dumb offers away in the trash can and do not respond to stupid offers...The price for $15,000 is a firm price of mine...Now imagine, a gambling casino, or a restaurant or what ever, is a strong possibility. Black Hawk knows about the property, as they own one very near to my acreage...

My parents, grand parents, uncles and aunts all lived through the wars and depression. So, I was raised with that mind set. It's been almost 100 years and we will probably see a repeat of this cycle soon.

One thing that I noticed in the farm houses. If they had a fire place, the mantel or hearth was usually pulled apart from the wall. If the house had a second floor the lower steps were missing. These must of been common hiding places? Like you, I was finding relics and bottles, no caches.

      Take Care!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You and I, we both know what the GREAT DEPRESSION living was like!!!!!!!! And YES, in the older houses, they took the features of the house, not the walls, but the woodwork they made cache places in the wood work areas. I found things, and I made a home made screened unit, and I shovel dirt into it..... Still own and have it....It is in my large garage south of the house. I was a kid in the BLIZZARD of 1949!!!!!! I shovel snow today, but in that Blizzard I shovel snow like I NEVER shoveled snow in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!!!

We raised chickens in the spring, and I was the guy who did the work, until butchering time came, and that is when MOM took over............We, the young kids on the farm, did the work!!!!!! That saved hiring and paying a farm person a salary!!!!!!!! One saves money where and when one can save it.......I drove the farm 1937 International Truck, it had stick shift, and a 2 speed rear axel. Then mom took me out on the tractor, and I learned to run it like she ran it.........Then she took over my joy on the truck, so she could take care of my 4 year old brother, to raise him like she raise me......... The next year, at age 10, I was driving the red FARMAL heavier and more powerful farm tractor. I did everything except spring plowing, which my dad did in between snow storms and rain storms. He did it to get the land ready for planting..........And YES, I TOO, believe that AMERICA will see a repeat of the wars and the depression cycles again!!!!!!!! What goes around, always comes around again and again and again!!!!!!!! We never had a fireplace in our farm houses, but YES, that and the mantel or hearth is where they hid the money. I have searched attics, and found lots of things in the attics too.

My first metal detector, was an BFO machine......It was cheap, and I could afford it. I worked for 50 cent an hour when I was a kid. Imagine that!!!!!!!!!!! I liked the Treasure Tronics SST unit, until I
picked up the Compass Electronics Yukon TR detector........I fell in love with the Compass machine as I found things after things..... I was in real estate, so I metal detected lots of empty houses
with the owners permission...Then I began to go up into the mountains where the gold mining had been performed. Dinner time!!!!!!! Got to go now....

I never met Karl von Mueller, but I was one of his dealers. i have his material, and I have his two booklets he wrote as well. My brother summed me up when he told my mother. "MELBETA has every dam thing, he has it stored in his large garage"! Yep, I got every damn thing stored in it. The walls are bowed a little bit outward too I think. I have to use axel grease to grease my butt in order to get inside it and slip around in and around the cases and cartons of things....Not quite correct, but I do slide here and l slide there inside the garage, and walk a little bit to anther crammed area. Accurate? Not quite, but it is pretty descriptive of what it looks like inside. The other day, I ran into Noah's ARK in there I think. Either that or it was Abrahams if Abraham had an Ark...... Just having a little fun with that big garage place.. It has 5 doors on it, two are regular doors, the other 3 are overhead doors. There is an East area and an West area inside that building. Someone where in there I think I lost my 1989 Toyota pickup as it kind of vanished from the yard and I think I put it into there one day....... Oh well with all the axel grease I do not think it will rust in there....... When I go inside I always carry a compass in case I get lost inside it......the kids are not sure if I am funnin or not, but are scared to go inside it now. I always carry an automatic rifle, if I hear growling I empty an clip here or there and the growling seems to stop then...

Carl, YES, it was known to have been made orginally by KvM!!!!!!!!! And YES, it was not resolved before KvM died. He came from Eastern NEBR, lived for a while in Wheeping Water NE. Then he moved south of Pueblo CO, and opened up his store in Segundo CO. I was there, it was a 2 story business building on the main street of Segundo. It was a deep lot, he parked in the rear of the building, and it had street parking in front of the store building.I arrived, one morning, and the store building was locked and closed that day. BUMMER!!!!!!!!!! So I looked into the store's windows, could see lot of vintage GARRETT metal detectors, and I was familiar with those models.HE had BFO's, and also
had the TR models. Beyond that, I did not see any newer machines. As I glanced around the front store area, I said to myself, "It looks to me like Carl is an old fashioned person."... The whole store inside it, had lots and lots of older
metal detectors handing on the rear wall. Now that is all I am going to say now, as it was years and years and years ago that I was there, and I forgot a lot of what I saw over the years...

Click image for larger version Name:	Trilobite_001.jpg Views:	0 Size:	36.1 KB ID:	432255 I found an ancient fossile about 20 feet from my house. It was from the Cretateous Period of time, which was the Age of Invertibrates, or the creatures with NO SPINE or BACK BONES in their body. I found not only the IMPRESSION area of the creature, which was a common find. But I also found the ACTUAL BODY of the creature. Now that is almost unknown to find one of the actual bodies!!!!!!! Do I have proof? YES, I do and I stick it here for you who want to see the photos... So right above, is the IMPRESSION of the body of the TRILOBYTE creature. Now I will say it died, fell down to the earth. lay there, was covered, and ground minerals leached into the area. replaced the impression area, and surrounded the actual body area..... So above is the impression area of where the body lay.........It is an IMPRINT in clay of where it lay inside the clay!!!

Now here is the ACTUAL BODY itself, of the actual creature.........Very rare to find the BODIES... It is stuck into the clay itself. When I removed it, there was the fossil imprint area!!!
Click image for larger version Name:	Trilobite_004.jpg Views:	0 Size:	31.2 KB ID:	432252
See the Actual body of the Trilobyte??? It is as I found it. laying in the Impression of its body. Now the next photo, is of the actual body when I removed it from the IMPRESSION piece........
Click image for larger version Name:	Trilobite_003.jpg Views:	0 Size:	36.9 KB ID:	432253
Now Trilobyte means THREE SECTIONS. The Head. the Body, and the guts. See the Head to the left side??? The guts and body are to the right side... It has no BONE SPINE, has a meaty spine. I found it in the sand around 20 feet from my house...When I found it, I had studied Geology at the Univ of NEBR back during 1957-1960. So i knew what it was.........Above it is still dirty!!!
            MELBETA
So I cleaned it up, and right below, is the CLEANED BODY!!!!!!! Now you can easily see the THREE SECTIONS (bytes), one to the left side. To the right, on each side of the missing meaty spine, are the other two lobesor bytes... The lobes wiggled and moved the creature though the water...Like FINS you see..........When I showed it to a geogologist man, he was flabber gasted. Held it in his hands, and said man I can really see the Trilobyte itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had only seen the impression areas before, and here he was hold ITS BODY in his hands. He worked for Mobile Company.......
