ID:	420958 My first metal detector was a BFO. I had no idea what a TR was, nor what a BFO was, I was living in the middle of Colorado Springs CO, running my own real estate company, loved driving to the Cripple Creek Mining District, walking around the old vacant abandoned houses and shacks. One of my neighbors, we sold him the empty house across the street from my house, I had it listed, he had an old WHITES TR detector. So he, another neighbor, and myself, we to the other guys 4 wheel drive unit, up into the Cripple Creek area. I searced wall, found a Valantines "nest", they took the valuable valantine cards, I took the old TOKEN. I was a dummy... I found it in the wall too. That was why and how I found all those valantine cards that some kid stuck into the area, between the window and the wall. It was 2 room shack you see.

So I found Ray Smith, he was advertising in a Treasure magazine. I bought an BFO with Discrimination. I thought, "Wow, I will only dig up goodies, no digging up junk for me"!!! A dummy? Yep, a dummy then, but not a dummy now!

Ray Smith, was the brother in law to Charles Garrett, and I never heard of either one before in my entire life. I bought what he recommended, and kept going up into that old Mining District. I had been married, wife died from Cancer, I had three little kids, all alone with the kids. So I would take off, go up and camped out, the neighbors looked after my kids. I was dating and met a cute girl 12 years younger then myself. I was an eligable bachelor, and man oh man did the ladies chase me. I owned my own real estate company, and was busy teaching people how to work for me and list and sell houses. I had classes at night at times.

So I bought at SST TREASURE PRO BFO detector. I dug every target at first, and saw I was finding old relics, old junk, old coins. old tokens, all kinds of neat vintage things. So we began to camp in the area all three of us, with our wives and kids, by then, I had married the cut younger woman. Man oh man was I living in excitement! So I began to buy and read booklets and hard bound books about the Cripple Creek Mining District. I was in Metal Detector heaven. The parks, old house foreclosures, all were prey for my detector. There were no laws against detecting in town.

Now the SST TREASURE PRO, was the FIRST IDEAL DISCRIMINATOR invented, and while I was using it, Charles Garrett was studying it, and would come out shortly with his own BETTER BFO Disc unit. But in the meantime I was digging up countless old things. The only problem back then was the SST Treasure Pro DRIFTED from sunlight into shade, so I was constantly re-tuning it all the time. But I was so successful, I was not complaining at all. Here is some info on the BFO unit I was using... And to the right of the 1973 enhanced flyer, is myself, long hair, a real stud! Metal detecting, and digging up precious historic coins, rings, jewelry, kids toys, mining relics, and all kinds of vintage relics that you could dream about........

yes the meter showed GOOD vs BAD targets, but I was so thrilled, and there was so many historic targets, I dug each and every target, and each time, driving home, I was loaded with good and historic targets. I discarded the junk targets, as I left nothing behing to tick off any owner... I still do that today! And there you go, the basic details, of what the SST TREASURE PRO BFO did and why I liked it, despite I was tuning in sun, tuning in shade, tuning between swings, but did I care? Heck no I did not care as I was digging and digging and loading my car and/or my truck camper unit. I am done for tonight now... Wife is ready to eat and I am starving...

Now I found an old drawing, a reverse engineering drawing by the late Stan, who had an heart problem, was confined to a wheel chair, then the last heart attack took him. He lived in the south, was a good friend of mine, we traded schematics you see. I found his schematic drawing, rough drawing you see, he was still reverse engineer drawing metal detectors for guy, for a price you see, as he had to make a living in his wheel chair. Now I tried to enhance it, was an old drawing, sloppy, but correct as Stan I think, he never told me, but I think he worked for Whites Electronics before he had the heart stroke. Very smart person, every question I asked him, he could answer it. So below, is his rough drawing of the SST Treasure Pro detector. I have several enhancements of that old drawing, I think this is the best of the several drawings. So if anyone re-draws it out, give me a copy for my own records... Now Stan, had a stoke, several heart attacks, his drawing is rough, his writing is a bit squirrelly, but his mind was there, even if his body did not respond like when he was very healthy. But remember this, this is the FIRST reverse engineering of the old SST Treasure Pro I ever saw in my life. And where did you find it? IN THIS forum you see. It came from my STAN folder last night.

years ago, I depotted potted modules, and drew out schematics myself. I bought Orcad software, still have a lot of older computers myself from the past. Hard for me to throw away things you see... I have lots of older relics and lots of older coins saved in storage areas. We were all back in Western Nebr for several days a few weeks ago... The younger nieces took us around here and there, and while it is still there, it is all a heck of a lot older now.........We did not have to pay motel bills as the checking company arranged for our motel to be a gift to us. We payed part of it, but the company paid the vast majority. I have been with them since 1950 you see... My America Express card paid the majority of the motel bill as a gift to me for my long time membership each month. My wife said she is going to get an American Express card now too........

My grandparents, my aunts and uncles are all deceased now as well. Got one cousin still living in Kansas though I think! Even a lot of my cousins are now deceased. Running out of them faster each year now... Friends? Not that many are alive now anymore. Lost contact with most of them now... Got a cousin still alive in Montana, one in California, not sure about the cousin in Oregon now... Do not hear from them like we used to hear from them years ago now... Time erases them and we do not even now if they are living or deceased now. There is a saying time erases old wounds, but time also erases old relatives and old friends and we just do not hear from them anymore now until we get Christmas cards during December. Then some do not send cards anymore and we wonder if they are alive of deceased now too...

I used a neighbors detector, the SST Treasure Pro was my first BFO unit years and years ago. Took it up into the mountains and detected with it in Cripple Creek Mining District and other mining districts years and years ago...Sold it after I bought a Garrett Master Hunter Package with many many coils... Then I ran across Compass and changed over to Compass units... I got over 130 old U.S. Silver Dollars stored from the past... Good thing I saved them years ago as do not see them today in change........

Since I have an abundant collection of U.S. Silver Dollars, I am going to stick the file so you can see the many silver dollars.. I do not discriminate even using an discriminating detector. I dig ALL SOLID SIGNALS, throw away the junk, and I find good things and save them. When I was selling metal detectors, all the buyers did not want to dig up trash like I dig UP! So to sell them, I sold them, but I run ALL METAL MODE myself.......Now that will not go over well with the vast marjority of today's metal detector users. You discriminate, I do not discriminate... I dig all solid target signals!!!!!!!!!

Now my silver dollars, are from Philadelphia mint, Denver Mint, San Francisco mint, Carson City NV mint, and the New Orleans mint. Today??? Only the first three mints are still in existence!!! But I got CC mint silver dollars, and I got O mint silver dollars. They are in the silver dollar file below....... So what can I tell you? I will say DO NOT DISCRIMINATE!!! Dig all solid targets. Now I do not know of anyone who follows what I just said myself!!!!!! Everyone wants to reject trash...

Now on the older U.S. Silver Dollars, back in 1962-1965, used to find silver dollars each week. Later the U.S. Govt melted down the silver dollars in the possession of the United States of America, and today, the silver dollars I find, have no silver in them anymore! But back then, in 1962 into 1965, used to find the older silver dollars, which I do not find anymore now... I have now, more then 120+++ older silver dollars, some have no mint mark (Philadelphis ones...), others are "s" for San Franscisco mint, "D" for Denver mint, "CC" for older (gone today) Carson City Nevada mint, "O" for older (gone today) New Orleans mint... Now the quantity of the older U.S. Silver Dollars, is larger then 120 coins today, that is why I said (+++) in the quantity. Before 1962, I used to work on Saturday's for cattle, pigs, etc animal auction companies. They paid me at the end of the day in SILVER DOLLARS you see. I was a kid, chasing the animals down the alley ways into the Auction Barn you see. My pants used to slide down lower and lower, so I took the silver dollars into my local bank, exchanged them for paper dollars. Wished I HAD NOT DONE That back then NOW!!! But kids do things adults do not do you see.............I got paid $7.00 each Saturday, all in Silver Dollars you see... 7 of the silver dollars you see, 28 to 30 each month. That is why my pants slid down almost to my ankles.........Wish I had kept them, all of those SILVER DOLLARS you see.............Imagine I would have kept them, I would probably have more then 1,000 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ of them today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I was born during the GREAT DEPRESSION! We farmed from 1903 in America (My grandparents farmed, their kids, my dad and my mom, farmed as well). During WWI, grandpa said people used to drive past his farm, and they shot at grandpa's house. Yep, that was in Michigan in America. The farmers, if they had the farm clear of loans and clear of debts, farmed and were in good shape. During WWI, they farmed with horses. Did not use tractors. Farmed with the horses, the farmers used a lot of horses, to pull the plow, used lots of horse to pull the harrows, the floats. Plantes with horse drawn seed planters you see... It was a cash industry you see, the banks were failing right and left!
I collect money, so I wrote an story I knew of the GREAT DEPRESSION of 1929. Grandpa and my own dad, told me their own stories about the GREAT DEPRESSION...

Here is my story of the Great Depression of 1929. In it, I stick old money, that I own and still have stored in my home...... So if you read this story, which I wrote my own self, it shows the exhibits of the Great Depression that I own myself!
GREAT DEPRESSION 1929_vs5.0_S_NP_001.Pdfhat do you do? You get out of debt. Own everything clear of morgages and loans!!! He who owes money, will sink when the economy goes south!!!!!!!! Those who do not owe anyone anything, are survivors. They will survive, and will end up owning your house, and end up owning your farm too!!!!!!!! We came from GERMANY. Our ancestors moved, from Germany during an DEPRESSION, moved to Russia, the Empress Maria Theresa, induced people, from Germay, Prussia, Switzerland, other countries, to move to Russia. Said come here, FREE LAND! Free Land? It was bull **** stories. But they had no money, moved with the help from Russia, to Russia, in the year 1871. The war in Europe, ended in 19871, so Russia moved them to Russia FREE of COST. There they arrived, no houses, no land. Camped on the banks of the Volga River. Chopped down trees, built houses on land west of the Volga River. Farmed with helpt from the Empress Maria theresa!Survived, moved to America after the year 1900... Had to leave everything behind in Russia, but they left while the leaveing was good. so in my story above, I got all kinds of money photos, as I own the money. It is a true story, shown with the photos of the money. Work. Save your money, accumulate but do not spend for things if you can. Pay off your house, pay off your farms, GET OUT OF DEBT!!! Fairy tale? Nope, it is the truth........Read my story. It is the factual story of the GREAT DEPRESSION of 1929.......... It is above, FREE STORY!!!!!!!!!! Now you live where you live. Not in America??? Where ever you live, get out of debt.
