I took these in the past, when I knew the museum President, and knew the Cureator, who examined the rare coins. They let me metal detect the old law of the museum lot, which in the 1800s, had an old Victorian house sitting on the land..I took my Leica digital camera in and they let me photo the old coins on display. Armed guards in the museum you see...

This first photo, is from the gold coin display in the gold coin area, of the coins of the GOLD RUSH DAYS. They let me photograph anything in the museum. I was more interested in the coins I could find up in the mountains, in the GOLD MINING AREAS I was metal detecting you see. So enjoy my photos... I am sorry, I took HIGH RESOLUTION photos back then, cannot post them for some reason. Too large I guess...
