Now the truth. I do not search like the ordinary metal detector user. In the beginning, I went after old coins, old mining relics, and found them. But I dug all targets, including trash. So I decided, I would DETECT BELOW the TRASH LEVEL AREA!!! Can a person do that? Well I CAN!!! So I tried to tell Monte what I was doing. But he did not grasp it!!! So I asked him question after question, and I got a large file, full of Monte's answers!!!
Want to read them??? You do? Okay, I am posting it right below! Now with Monte, every question I made, Monte equated it WITH DEPTH. Yes, I was trying to tell him and explain how I detected, But I ended up with his explanation on Depth.......

Now I got a bit frustrated, and gradually begain to explain to Monte, JUST MY EXPERIENCES, and he just agreed with me.

So what I do, I keep it secret now!!! I no longer try to explain to anyone what I do. I just keep on doing DIFFERENTLY with a detection method that is different from what the majority of metal detector users do... Am I successful with my method? Yes, doggone successful. Even my son, who metal detected with me, I hit a faint signal, just before I dug it up, he swung over it, "Said nothing there!!!". But there was something there. So I dug it up, and he could not figure out why his machine "DID NOT SEE IT???"

I stopped trying to tell guys that my method is finding older, smaller, fainter signals, that I hear, and their machine DOES NOT HEAR!!! Now they still see me digging, digging, digging and pocketing things, and when they swing and say NOTHING THERE, I just smile and keep on searching below the trash level, and finding and pocketing!!!!!! So you can read what I am trying to tell Monte, and he keeps telling me what HE THINKS!!!

But what Monte says, is very interesting to read!!!!!!! Its TECHNICAL!!! So read what I said, and read what Monte said, in emails to and from each other one day. I got tired emailing, and wrote an story, and he replied in the lines of my story... So what did I learn? I ended up with my story, on MONTE ON DEPTH STORY............

Years ago I gave up trying to explain what I was doing anymore!!!!!!!! I quit explaining, I quit showing them what I found, and I just keep on digging them up and putting them in my pocket!

As an additional explanation, I got an old check holder paper box, and in it, is a lot of the DIAMONDS and EMERALDS I took out of gold jewelry, from what I detected, and kept!!! Take a look at that small paper check container, and all of the diamonds are diamonds, as I had a diamond tester back then that worked, does not work today though. And those GREEN STONES??? Yep, those are actually EMERALDS! Like I said, I do not explain or try explaining anymore. I just dig, pocket, and removed the stones, ship, deposit the checks. With the advance in Gold prices, I kind of regret selling them in the past though, as the REFINERY PRICES are higher now.... I think the photo of the Diamonds and Emeralds speaks more then I can speak...
