I have failed to transferr 100% of my written booklets to a forum site...How can I create my own website so I can transfer my free booklets to
my own website?

I set up [email protected], as my personal email address. I use no professional business software, and I only accept Cash and/or Money Orders,
as i do not want to get into using credit cards or other credit materials. It is a business that is different from any other kinds of business. I write
special booklets, not books, just smaller booklets, and I only sell one booklet at a time. I only accept American CASH, and money orders I can
cash at my local bank. So anything complex, other then cash and/or money orders I can cash at my own bank, I then reject the purchase...

complex customer address, that is beyond the United States of America, I reject the purchase offer...... The sale has to be simple and without
complex rules, or it is rejected by myself....I will begin to write the booklets, and will let others know when the books are ready to be sold.....
Half *** business, yes that is exactly what I am intending to run....

I plan to create a business location website, on the internet, where one can come and enter, read the names of the booklets, send me cash payment,
then I email the booklet to the buyer. The buyer prints out one copy and both of us are happy. If the buyer prints out more then one copy,
no more sales to that buyer... So now first, I need to find out how to create an website, so I can post the names of the booklets..... After that I will
begin to sell the booklets. If I do not know how to build the website, there will be no business from myself......So first I need to create a website,
so I can list the booklets in that website. Let me know how to create it!!!!!!!!

I run it simple, I only use [email protected] as my email address. I used to have gmail, it became
too complex for me to use, so I abandoned that service. I prefer the simplest business which is what
I descibed above......

I think you will find creating a web site to be far too difficult. There are free web site providers (Google, Wix, Wordpress, etc) but you will have to run through a gauntlet of setup procedures where they try to get you to pay for everything.

Even once you have a web site, you have to figure out a way to let people know about it. What you are wanting to do is a "push" business. No one knows about your booklets and no one is going to be out searching for booklets to buy, so you will need to figure out a way to advertise them. You can do that here on Geotech but it doesn't reach a whole lot of people, and if that's all you''re going to do then you might as well just post a list of the booklets you have and what you want for them.

Next, if you only accept cash/MO then that will immediately turn off a majority of potential buyers. Everyone is now used to click-click-instant-payment-you're-done. At a minimum, you need to accept Paypal, that allows people to use credit cards.

For a tech-savvy person, doing all of this is not difficult. You're not tech savvy, and I think it's going to border on the impossible. Got any grandkids good at this kind of thing?

I do not need the money anymore, as HE blessed me with money. So I either, sell them for low cash, if they are wanting to market them. If not, and just want a copy,
they are free to those that way as well. I just want to start it up, not go through a hell of a time trying to market them. I want to set up my own website, and stick
the name of each copy in that free website. I do not want to be encoumbered by someone elses website. I learned years ago, HAVE YOUR OWN WEBSITE
and not be stuck with someone elses website. CARL, it works better for me if I can run it myself..... I am not into Paypal or credit cards anymore you see...

Why won't my own website work?????? I like to control my own marketing enterprise you see........

My enhanced photos from my work at the Scotts Bluff National Monument, I metal detected OUT SIDE this monument, found historical artifacts, the monument is not interested in things they did not find, but I am interested in them. I ran across the owner of the land, where the Mitchell Pass FORT was once built and placed on that land, and he let me metal detect where I wanted to detect. So I found a lot of old artifacts on his land...They were not interested, and they are in my own historical collection to this day! Here below, is my re-written booklet on that area!!! Well, your forum would not let me stick it into your forum a few minutes ago. That is a pity Carl............ But I know you would stick it in if you read it. It is free that way to all who who want to read my booklet........Those who want to market the booklet will have to buy it and pay for it, otherwise I give it away free to all who want to read it.....

I do not print the booklet, the reader gets it in digital format, the reader then reads it, if they want a printed copy, they then print it out. It is free copy that way...

If they want to sell it in a large sized printing, it is no longer free booklet you see. They would negotiate with me, buy it, then print and sell it out in the world..........

I think the concept you have in mind will not work... A better concept would be to sell your brochures cheaply on Amazon or a similar sales platform. Only on these shopping sites will you find potential buyers, and if the brochure is cheap and it is also digital content, people will buy it. Additionally, I would just create a small author website. All about you and your research work, and link it to your actual sales page as a reference page. Further I would then try publishing your personal web site everywhere where you expect potential interested people. On you personal web site of course people can find the info where to buy your booklets. I have already sent you a catchy domain name for your personal website as a private message.

I am thinking right now, to restrict it unless they want a printed copy. I have spent years writing booklets, on various subjects. I thought if I could set up my own website, and put the historic booklets and the metal detector bookles on it, I could then print out copies and sell the printed copies. That is my goal, printed copies......I want my own website, so I have 100% control of the booklets. I know after I get a few free ones out, it will got like crazy! I want to move booklets regarding GOD, as a free booklet eventually. HE likes it that I wrote religious booklets and gave them out free to people. Websites are not interested in my giving out free religious booklets you see. I met HIM some years ago. No one can be in HIS presence and not shake like a engine out of tune! And I want to tell others about HIM. HE likes what I want to do, but websites out there are not into HIM. That is why I want my own website to control my booklets. There are lots of people searching for HIM that do not metal detect. I will stick historic booklets and metal detection into that special website as well. I am going to stick two samples below, and you will grasp what I intend...I belong to no church, I belong to no special religion, but I met HIM.

Where I live, it is inside a Ponderosa Tree Forrest, and the only way it get into the internet, is using AOL DIAL UP ACCESS, as my buildings are so seculuded, I only get DIAL UP by using telephone line to get out of the forrest area. Sunlight and Moonlight is also limited to my house you see. The telephone line is an very old telephone line, so only have limited access speed out of my house into the internet, and only AOL is available for me to use. I cannot see any of the two nearby neighbor houses either unless I walk down to the gravel road and walk up to their houses. Where I live I am very issolated to get onto the internet! My only access from the house is to use AOL to get out of the forrest and into the internet! I am retired from years and years ago, so my income is only from AOL! I do not live close to the gravel road either, and all their is from it is AOL DIAL UP access to the internet. It is very private for me to live where I live. I got deer, elk, mountain lions, bobcats, etc...the nearest living person to me is a 1/4 of a mile south from my house. He has a newer pickup with a snow plow and if he does not plow up into my yard, we sit here waiting for him to plow us out! Other then getting snowed in, we love where we live as it is private as hell!!!!!!!!! We have to drive 1/4 of a mile to get out of our area before we see any human beings... Now I am not complaining, as I love the tall trees, fitzer bushes, lilac
bushes everywhere, etc. Where the motel sized swimming pool was, and I had it removed years ago, there is a lawn area, other wise we are surrounded by trees, bushes, etc., etc......... The photo
below, shows the edge of where the motel sized swimming pool was located, and notice the WALL of trees, shrubs, flowing bushhes, and if you look closely, one can see part of the roof of one of my
buildings on my land.....That photo is of the tall trees,a nd flowering LILAC BUSHES......I am walled in with greenery!!!!!!! Now outside the double garage of the house, we have a yard, but it too is limited
with land that one can see each of us out in the yard! I spent years growing and planting vegation you see....I can walk around in a lot of the yard and no one can see me at all!!!!! That is why the wild
animals like to come where where we live!!!!!! I can sit on the deck on the rear of the house, and watch them eat the tall grass and nibble on the flowering bushes...........Paradise, that is where I live!!!!

Yeah I noticed that too!!!!!! Kind of given up on my own website. I do not give out free booklets, but I might sell some of my older booklets, but since no one knows about them now, I have given up on those ideas too... I am not that interested if I have to run through any gauntlets of setup stuff, and I do not want to pay for a website either, as it eats into my retirement income... I do not use PayPal either... I use a credit card to buy things from Walmart, but beyond that, I am not interested in accepting credit cards. I tried Wix, but it is not for me.. Got some grandkids, but not sure what they do either...

Today, I underwent a Lab Test, then on Monday morning I will be checked out, to make sure I am still okay. I do this once a year. I feal like I am SUPERMAN you see, and I need to know if I still am in that condition.

We start feeling Spring here where we live, on Saturday, and it will be just a few weeks and I will be outside working on my land... So I have not much to say right now, as it is cold and it will snow again here tomorrow night... Not to heavy of a snow though, but still another doggone snow storm here.

I live in the mountains north of the city, around 7700 feet approximately, so get snow or rain a heck of a lot where we live..........I just got on line, and not much in the internet right now, so will leave shortly and be back again later on..... Wife is a lot yourger then myself, 12 years younger, and she has health problems, but I still feel fantastic! She is seeing her doctor on Monday as well but wants to come with me to see my docter., when he gives me my annual physical and discusses the lab work with us... She takes care of me if I need care you see. And she is my food cook too! My mother taught her how to cook before mom died... She is a fantastic cook and knows what to make to please me...

Now I am a known HISTORIAN, and a known Geologist, and I write booklets. Wrote and self published over 200+ booklets. Now I stuck the following booklet in this forum, but since it relates to what I said above, I am sticking it in again. I stick in the DOC file here today, not secured, one can print it and the enhanced photos with their own computer printer. Read it! It tells the history as I know it of early United States of America, all though I wrote it about Colorado. My booklet is important enough to read at least once or even twice, for the story of early towns and early states... It is NOT secured, one can print it out and read it and study it......I gave it to you FREE, do not sell it, give it out to others free as well... Leave my name in it, print your company or personal name on the last page in it, and give it out free, by copy, or by CD disk, or by PDF file..I related the LORD GOD and the BIBLE in it, as I met HIM!!!

My user name is MELBETA!!!!!!!! I was born in the 1930s, on my grandfathers farm, in an old shack on the farm. I was a little bittty kid, and we farmed some land, right across the road, beteen MELBETA and the North Platte River. Under our farm, was the Oregon Trail, and the California Trail. Across the river, on the north side, was another Trail! I was too little to go outside and play. But I rememer the day the DUST BOWL DAYS brought dust, into our little farm house on those old trails.. I wrote a booklet, ON MELBETA, and enhanced the photos!!!! I would have posted it, but do not know just where I saved
it right now... But I found my booklet, I wrote on the BOUNTY HUNTER BIG BUD PRO model I used, and still got two of them stored in my basement. Here below is the booklet I just mentioned I used!

Now it is secured, as I created it. I used some of Bounty Hunter documents to create it........It is ONE of a kind booklet!!!!!! Read it, but you cannot print it out. Well, cannot stick it in, it is too large for
the forums regulations. Sorry!!!!!!!!!! But I enhanced the photo of the Bounty Hunter, Big Bud Pro PLUS SE detector!!! I think it will go in...Yep! It went in.........George Payne told me about those two
units, and I bought them, and still own both of them. Very very very few of them were made and sold and I got TWO of them......

Another update to this posting. I used to run two mail order businesses, one I sold enhanced vintage maps and my own booklets, the other one I sold metal detectors in it. I used to make $10,000 to $20,000 a month, so I knew what I was doing, and I definitely am not a neophite person running a mail order business. That is, unless it has changed out in the mail order market a hell of a lot...... I
got a lot of money saved up, and I bought an acreage, and built an addition to the large garage and cabana unit, and ran my mail order out of the cabana and large building. So you see, I am not a
dumb person with the act of running a mail order business. I also had a metal detector dealership, sold Compass, Whites, Garrett and some other names in detectors, that business was around
$1,000 a month income, the other things sold better and was more productive. I had a lot of competion in the detector business, but the other business there was no one doing what I was doing.....

I ran it in town, decided to move to the country, so found an 15 acre parcel, with a 8,000 square foot house on it, motel sized inground swimming pool, cabana for the swimming pool, and I built and addition to the cabana, built and large garage with two double garages. So I got more garages then I can use, so I used them for storage for my businesses.....I sold off the front 5 acres, got enough
money for it to recover half of my purchase cost. So I am in very good financial shape...In other words, I know very well how to run mail order businesses and make money from them...
