I purchased Make: Electronics (Learning by Discovery), by Charles Platt on Nov. 28, 2014 from Amazon. I'm well pleased and recommend this book to new electronics enthusiasts.
The author teaches the fundamentals of electricity, electronic components and circuits, leading you along from simple to more advanced circuits and devices as you follow the instructions to build, experiment and learn by discovery ! Included are brief summaries of the inventors credited with various scientific discoveries, as well as many charts to help you understand the fundamentals of electronic principles and operation of electronic components. This is just a very brief synopsis and doesn't begin to highlight everything you will find in this wonderful book !
The copy I purchased was only $14.79 grand total, Free Shipping and no taxes to my door in Ohio, U.S.. The actual size of this book is 8"wide x 9¾"long, it has paperback covers with a clear-plastic-like coating, no markings inside or damage of any kind and looks brand new ! Including the Index in the back, there are 334 pages full of text and beautiful multicolored photos and drawings; you will be well pleased !
