I have talked with Floyd Mann of LostTreasureUSA and he suggested this board. I am just looking for the name of the magazine (date/issue) of any containing "Bill Crestman" (Worked/dredged extensively on the North Fork Yuba River, Strawberry Valley, CA & a large drywashing operation in Quartzite, AR.
I have personally seen two issues with him on the cover dating in the 1950's (one dated 1951). Both with him and a mason jar full of gold nuggets.
I worked for Crestman in 1984 in CA. I am working on a web site (golddredgers.com) who is starting a gold camp on his old claims in CA.

Bill Crestmans Claims

My name is Mike and I was 12 years old when my dad began to work the Crestman claims on the Northfork of the Yuba. Names like Jim Ward, Bud Wright, and William May. May-Wright Mining 1979-1980s era. I have a magazine from the 1980s with all this information and much more personal information about 22 oz and 13 3/4 oz nuggets just to name a couple. I know where on the claims a stretch of virgin grounds was dredged. WOW!

I would enjoy sharing any information as those were some of the best times I ever had.
I am 41 years young now. I drove to the claims 3 years ago to show my family. When I was about 10 years old Bill gave me my first dredged up musket I still have it !!
