The Oak Island mystery is really only a mystery to those people that have no idea about the Illuminati and the secret coding techniques that were employed when making the paper maps that lead to these treasures.
There is a legitimate map connected to this site, and while Oak Island is the starting point of the map, the true location of this treasure is north and east of Oak Island, along the east coast of Nove Scotia in a place called Owl's Head.
There appears to be other treasure rooms located in Owl's Head, and this area also appears to be a main depository of the illuminati. Look at Nova Scotia in relationship to the location of Rome (Illuminati headquarters) and it becomes a little more clear as to why this place was chosen. It's also along the trade-wind routes that the ships (Pirates and others) used.
An interesting tid-bit is that along the coast of Maine there is another Owl's Head Harbor. This location, too, has treasure buried around it.
