      BROKEN OR MISSING BATTERY COVER

Hi, you can make one out of hard plastic like from a CD disc Cover plus Electrical tape. And you can cut it to fit! I've used it this way on several detectors. Some of these detectors are so rare that finding an original battery cover may be almost impossible. Also if you can find this model as a junk detector you can strip it for parts! Good Luck....JOE

          MISSING BATTERY COVERS

A lot of the old detectors had battery covers that just clipped or snapped on and many were lost in the field. Maybe brush or a tree limb would snag it and it would come off! That is why a lot of the old Bounty Hunters and Compass's (maybe others) that show up on Ebay today are missing their battery covers. Also one can take some thin sheet metal cut it to fit a little over and use screws to hold it down - This would be similiar to how the battery cover works on the old Garrett DeepSeeker, for instance! Hope this helps.....JOE

              BOUNTY HUNTER BFO

TO MOMULE55: Tell us how you do on this detector when it arrives. Did you also get a large loop? I started with a Garrett BFO Sidewinder back in 1969 or 1970 or so. So I have a lot of experience using the BFO type detector so if you have any problems please ask? JOE

Will do!! I found a lot with the Bounty Hunter in the 70's, I'll take it out and play with it a time or two, then hang it on the wall............
