...Scooter....You do not need a Manual!!....I really do need for you to post a close-up of the control panel.......Ok...this is from Memory....1) Make sure that you have good batteries...2) Turn the detector on.......3) Holding the detector so that the coil is up in the air.....set the Threshold......this is the slightest sound that you can comfortably hear.....4) Lower the coil to the ground .....if the sound increases most likely you are over a metal object....if the sound decreases ...re-set the threshold this time with the coil on the ground.....make sure that you are not over any metal......unless there is something wrong with the detector this is it......This detector is Not a Discriminator....so it will react good to most of the junk like pulltabs ...foil.....bottlecaps...screwcaps ....etc........the good thing is that it will Null or go quiet over iron nails and most small iron.....Good Luck.....Joe
...I really do Not do this anymore...I found out that although I can give someone detailed step by step procedures on a detector ...most would rather have the Official Manufacturers Instruction Manual....so I refer most to the Manufacturer's website and download the official Instuction Manual....Now in the case of Vintage...Obscure detectors...I may be one of the only sources for a detailed step by step instructions....also if the Instruction Manual was written by an Engineer and looks Greek to someone then I can probably explain it in more everyday language ....Merry Christmas Joe
I used to be a new and used metal detector dealer, now retired, but I still have quite a few of the factory manuals, and I have some of the re-prints of some factory manuals for those that went out of busness. I do not have everything of course. But you can email me at [email protected], and write to me in english language, and I will answer you. And if you are seeking information regarding some old vintage metal detector, I have lots of information in my file folders... Melbeta

Tutanxamon, at this point you do not need a manual. You need to find a repairman. Your detector is in sad and broken shape. Not sure if it can be fixed? Looks like all of the components for the batteries are missing? Not sure what else needs to be fixed? I would contact Keith Wills www.brokendetector.com he is very good on fixing these vintage detectors. Not sure if he can help you? but it does not hurt to ask him. Good Luck
I would be interested in a manual for the Compass 94B if you should happen to have it. I know how to operate it but still would be cool.
These show up on ebay from time to time. That would be the place to search for copies. Keith Wills probably sells copies contact him at www.brokendetector.com

Tutanxamon, You have a big project if you want to make it like the D-Tex 200 that you have pictured. I am not an electronics guru that is why I said that you need to find a repairman. Or are you saying that you have the electronics ability to fix this yourself? You need to clean it up and take some better photos. Although your uncle says that he did not do anything to the machine, someone did, the big hole on the back end of the detector is not original plus the coiled wire set up is not original either. From what I can tell you are missing the battery holder and connections and also missing all of the hand held push button assembly and set up. That is why I asked for more photos. Where are you from? The biggest problem is parts. Your detector is at least 34 years old and parts can be a big issue. Some people buy non-working machines of the same model for the parts. Good Luck.
not to big joe. if i know where goes where. from eletrical parts. ' Hello to all and happy and healty christmas to all the forum.Joe. it was there batterie pack he says, Joe. with a simple pcb ,to take the voltage from the 4x9volts. and send it to the pcb and the speaker plug and speaker as i see Joe. where the pins was conectend to the plus and minus of the 4x9volt bateries. no problem for this. i can make it. in the hall of the back of the rs100 was the case, 2x9volt up to the mising baterie case and another 2x9volt from upside down ,or next. i can conect 4x9volts bateries.no problem but it was conected at series ? or pararel ? as for the hand heald push button i have one very old oCoin computer metal detector the same sile, i can pul out the push button from there. but i need some help and from the electronic members with the cables i forgot that here is and one brown ,cable seem now black . but it is Brown . i will take more fotos , and i will upload Joe. and for the electronics members to help me if you want guys . and more foto , for you Joe for help me, hankou again my frend . and all the members where i becam member of the bigest forum at world it is my owner to be with you all guys . my name it is Jo.from George Joe, and i am from thessaloniki Greece.
