I slobbered, but long after momule55. Surely I was not the only one who slobbered.

RE: DID I SLOBBER? OHHHH YEAAAAA

SURE I DID! That's why the majority of my present collection include the "CADILLAC" detectors of yesterday! These are my DREAM DETECTORS, but of coarse when I get some of them they are NOT WHAT I IMAGINED or thought they would be!! An example of this Disappoinment would be the RB5 while an example of my best would be the A&H Pro-2. Alot of these detectors would have cost in their "HEYDAY" $300.00 to $400.00 or more. Now I can get most of them in the $50.00 range or so . Some for a lot less and a few more for a lot more but never do I have to pay RETAIL. WELL.....I NEED TO GO OPEN SOME PRESENTS TO MYSELF UNDER THE TREE......and I need to act surprised!!!!!!! Of coarse they are from SANTA..........MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JOE

As long as your wife doesn't find out your safe. Tell her you only have a few. Never let her actually see more then half a dozen at a time. Of course they are a little bit tough too keep concealed. Just tell her "Pay no attention to that box behind the curtain"!!!!!

          PILE OF DETECTORS

The advantage of a pile of detectors is that you can add and substract from the pile all the time. My pile of 20 or so is kept out in the open. My wife never asks about any new additions, to her they are all the same! The trick is to hide all the empty boxes that they came out of. I throw all the empty boxes in the garage, keep a few for sales and trades and get rid of the rest! JOE

Getting back to this, I was asking if anyone else read detector ads when they were a kid, and (if they did not own a detector then) wished that they could get a detector.
