  • Somebody Help!! Bounty Hunter BFO, No Power

I just got a battery pack from Radio Shack, 8 AA cells. Pluged it into the
detector and NOTHING!!! I bought 3 of them off ebay and NONE of them
power up!! Where do I start looking for problems? I know the pack has
    power, I checked it,12V.

Firstly you should try and get hold of a schematic, if possible.
Failing that, you'll need to back-engineer a schematic from the PCB layout.
In case back-engineering is not your forte, an alternative would be to photograph both sides of the PCB and post them here. Try to get some sharp images, and label any parts that are difficult to see from the photo. This is only a BFO, so I doubt it's very compilicated. Then we can start to debug the problem.
