I just bought a mini-collection that was recently on eBay. What caught my eye were the (2) AH models: the Quintron, which I've been looking for for 5 years or more, and the Phantom, which I'm not sure I've ever heard of. Once I get these, I'll have 8 AH models. Others are the Pro, Pro 2, Super Pro, Super Pro V, Nugget, and Backpacker 2.

        Lot of Detectors

Hi Carl! Which one is the Phantom? The Phantom's Headquarters was outside of the Houston area. The owner was a popular TH'ing figure of that era but I forget his name for the moment! It was basicly a Gold Mountain VIP with a few extra controls. Very expensive detector for its time, in the late 70's thru at least the early or mid 80's. I'll look for some of its ads in the Treasure Magazines and will send you what I can find! Also in the photo what are the 2nd and 3rd detectors from the right? Wilsons? Thanks Joe

              QUINTRON/PHANTOM

Carl, have you had time to check out the Quintron or Phantom? Any Comments or findings? Also Are they equiped with the 8 inch coil? This is the 1st time that I have ever seen an 8 inch loop on these detectors! Also can you post some close-up pictures of the control panel of the Quinton and Phantom? I'm just curious since I have never seen one except for Advertisements. GREAT CONGRADUATION ON THESE FINE ADDITIONS TO YOUR FAMILY!..........................LOL.............. ..HH............JOE

Here are pics of the Phantom & Quintron. They need a good cleaning, and the Phantom has a broken meter. Both have 8" loops.

                  The Phantom

I believe the guy who made the Phantoms in the Houston area was Richard Ray.
