I don't understand, at all, the prices some of the vintage detectors are fetching. The highest I ever paid was ~$160 for a Bounty Hunter Outlaw, but it was new-in-the-box never assembled.
These prices tempt me to put mine up for sale!

All vintage stuff (not just metal detectors) seems to be going for a lot more in online auctions the past couple of years. However, the range for each item (for multiple auctions of the same particular type of item) shows that a lot of buyers do not care about what the price should be, they do not want to wait for a better deal in another auction, they just WANT IT NOW. Go beat one of those guys!Comment
