The myte-myte3 schematic posted earlier in this thread is the closest to my unit. However, I don't see the battery test, or the 10T pot, and it has a trimpot, variable cap, and the black wire is connected on both ends of the cable. The article says it detects a quarter at 10 inches or so. Anyone know the purpose of using this wierd type wire in the cable - each "wire" is like a cotton thread with spiral copper wire around it. I would think it is fairly difficult to manufacture and much more prone to opens than stranded wire.
The myte-myte3 schematic was scanned with too low of resolution to make out the coil diagram. Anyone have a better scan of it. Also would be cool to read the full text of the review. That also has pictures of the guts but yellowed (black and yellow instead of white :-) )
