  • "The Collection" 2008

The last group photo I took (click here) was in 2004. The collection has roughly doubled, so I decided to pull everything out for an updated pic. This will probably be the peak, as I intend to sell off a fair number of them.

I took a multi-shot panoramic, but I need to stitch them together. Actually, I'm lucky the photos survived... after I took the pics, I stuck the Compact Flash card in my pocket, then later threw my shorts in the laundry! But the CF is pretty rugged. Took over 5 hours to take all the detectors out, shoot, and put them all back.

Hi, good collection Carl! but still is imperfect.
e.g. I don't see there our "MDL 8500" this small naughty, which hit metals at great depths incredibly. is made in USA, but by this time none of Americans could find it or producer and even have not heard of that!!!!!
It's a miracle for THing at great depths. Hey American friends all round the USA, please look for this device, see can find it? It really worthies. it's a pleasure for yourself and also me. our team are worried for day that maybe defect or lose it, then is irreparable and irreplaceable.
      Thanks in advance.

MDL 8500 is an awesome unique PI that we believe is made by USA military industries. very light and small, but impressively powerful. it detects a 60 Cm x 40Cm x 30 Cm iron box buried at 3 meters very easily with a delighting strong melody as if it's buried at 50 Cm and I'm sure can detect it even at 5 meters.
is highly sensitive to precious metals. on the top of the box there is a hologram label of "INTEL corporate" we work with 2m x 2m frame and hold the frame easily at the waist level and can walk and even run without any problem and is highly stable. with pushing a button, immediately get balance to ground, no need to set any thing. all things are factory preset. has 6 mode and every mode get 10 sensitivity level. get feed only with 12 V external battery. If I get a time and be possible will take a graph of box inside.
probably at this weekend we will attain the treasure detected by it. If so, will inform you.
Please, please, please do your best to find its' maker or producer. Heck, it's made in USA.. believe me it really worth.

MICHAEL , THE ONLY WAY TO IDENTIFY THE DETECTOR WITH 100% ACCURACY IS YOU HAVE TO OPEN IT UP !!!!!!!!. AND CHECK THE PCB "CIRCUIT BOARD" FOR ANY LABELS OR TAGS , OR ON THE INSIDE OF THE CASE. AND ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN YOU TURN ON THE UNIT ,THE COMPANY NAME WILL FLASH ON THE LCD SCREEN. SO OPEN THE CASE AND POST A PHOTO HERE !!!! THEN YOU WILL GET SOME ANSWERS. ABOUT 90% OF MILITARY DETECTORS ARE NOT MADE IN THE USA !!!!!!!! CHECK PAGE 1 OF THE PDF I POSTED. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH.... Eugene

                Hi,
Amtech! thank you for PDF file.
About MDL; I have opened it up one time and saw nothing about company name, only a small double side circuit with some IC and Transistors which are all cleaned a 10000uF, 105 V Cap. Its' main part is a white square entirely sealed ( I think the Intel microchip is housed inside)
on this part is a bold black writing "Made in USA" and a caution of high voltage.
at first opportunity I get, will take graph.
another thing when turn it on and is loading, only introduces the name "MDL 8500".
I have heard probably the makers have released new versions with accurate discrimination even for great depths.
again request: please do your best to find it and inform me. it's a great favor for us.
