Looking at this on Ebay and wondering if it is worth $250. Would I be better off spending $250 on something newer? I have read that this was a real top of the line model in it's day. Is it anygood for gold nuggets? (as if I could ever find any!) What do you experts think. Says it was checked out at the factory and given a clean bill of health. Includes charger and Batteries. (I assume Nicads)

The price is about PAR for what I have seen

They are not Noted Gold Nugget Hunters.

Being a MOTION type machine they are a pain for gold prospecting and not that good at it to begin with.

Operating at 6.59 khz they just don't respond to gold so good.
