Here's a rare one. I think this came out right before the King Cobra?
    Probably a Tesoro clone?

Regarding manufacturer description King Cobra is one step forward.

If King Cobra was Tesoro clone, then maybe Thunder Stick go the same way. I guess Melbeta can say more.

      Dual detectors in one case....

Not familiar with this Gold Mountain model. But Garrett Electronics and Fisher both had a similiar looking detector, with two detectors in one case body. That way you could search with the first detector, then when you hit a targer you could check the target with a different discriminator settings in the second detector.

The Garrett Freedom 3 was very hot on silver dimes.

        ... Gold Mountain Thunderstick....

...this was the Predecessor model before the King Cobra...while the company was still owned by Bill Mahan Jr....(he is the son of Bill Mahan, SR. the original owner of D-TEX)....Ok the company changed hands to a former senior staff member of Garrett who evidently was trying to do damage to Garrett....so under the new Management ....GMT... came out with ...1650 ...and I think the GMT Gold Scorpion which was very short lived...it was replaced by the King Cobra...Now I think that GMT copied too closely to similar models at Garrett and Tesoros at the time...so they got sued by Garrett and Tesoro at the same time.....shortly thereafter ...GMT... ceased to exist.....but going back to the Thunderstick ...at the time it was one of the few made with the S type arm mount while most at the time were still using the old U type ...it was 15 KHZ...so it had similar depth and response as the Garrett GroundHog models....I do not think that it was advertised very good....I have Never seen a model surface on Ebay or anywhere else for at least 7 years......Merry Christmas Joe
