Hi bernte_one! What disc mode you are reffering to? Is that the audio difference?

With some iron if you sweep slowly you get a double beep or warble. When sweeping at normal speed it has a dirty crack type tone compared to the nice clean normal tone


Not sure the change in capacitor is needed original and mine worked fine with 6800uF. Seems to be a combination of coil and settings. Mine was discriminating pretty well until I changed the 2N2222 and coil now no longer works.
