If we change into SMD layout will it decrease barracuda performance? I saw this http://www.paulallenengineering.com/blog.html see that SMD placement machine though expensive it look like Robots replace the fun...

Daihatsu..... you try to run on front of the locomotive... believe me now.... you CAN set SMDs at board TOO...

Nice to see your fine work KT315!! Yes I can, I just want to share that machine exists. I was working as cellphone technician at nokia era in 2003 DCT4 flashing etc, anyway in audio projects my preamp/guitar fx went out "thin" sounding after convert it into SMD, so for anyone built the SMD version or perhaps you already done, please tell the difference in performance.....thanks

Yup that's a good idea,,,I rather make my own pcb for that converter though

Very nice design! Might be good to connect the battery directly to the main supply cap to minimize voltage drop in the high current paths. You could solder directly to bottom of board or C1 leads. Put switch in series with battery + Would be interested to hear if this helps performance.
