Hi all, I have built 2 of the silverdors surf PI MD and they both work fine. I have made several coils for both of them and they work fine on all my coils that I have made for them. Ok, I built a Barracuda kit from silverdog and made 2 coils for it one from Teflon 28 ga wire (bunch coil) and one from 26 ga magnet wire, both are around 450 mH and around 2.6 ohms. The Barracuda will only work on my spiral wrap coil that I made from speaker wire for my surf PI witch is 306 mH and 1.0 ohms. I have double checked all the components when I built it and have checked the rdump value and everything is in specs. Why is this thing working fine on a 300 mH coil instead of a 450 mH coil for witch it was intended for? It will work on the 450 coils but it is real slow and can not adjust it out.
