            Features of coils "FOX MD"
            1. Cases of coils are manufactured of shock-resistant ABS plastic 2 mm thick by method of vacuum molding.
            2. Windings of coils are wound from a high-quality coil-processing wire of a pr-v Russia on the coil-processing machine
            3. Coils are filled in with high-quality ED20 epoxy with the plasticizing additives. The microsphere for reduction of weight of the coil and increase in durability is added to epoxy. For increase in crash-worthiness an internal part of the case and ears are reinforced to a stekloktkanye.
            4. Shielding is performed only by high-quality graphite.
            5. For connection of the coil the high-quality DAXX V52 cable "double coaxial", length 1,2m is used.
            6. For coils the commonly accepted GX-16 4pin/5pin sockets are used
            7. For increase in a resource of a cable, cable input of PG7 with the shock-absorber is used.
            8. In ears of the coil openings by diameter 8/10mm are drilled.
            9. Coils tselnozalivny and therefore are absolutely hermetic. immersion in input to 3 meters is admissible.

                        No, was just wondering if it was possible to waterproof ordinary potentiometers which can be picked up for a couple of bucks. Whilst the sealed, waterproof pots run upwards of $15 bucks each. This would be for beach and wading only.

                              For wading you dont need "water proof" pots if you build the housing correctly, build your electronics into a pvc tube with a water tight screw end, allows you to put coil into the water then make your pot adjustments, put cap on and away you go, yes it does require you to remove cap for further adjustments.
