if you are still working on baracuda be clever and add a possibility to change pulse width and frequency

i suppose i could be also work a bit better with two big caps in parallel on the coil drive stage

as I did not make Cuda before I am not in course which R/C are useful for change pulse width and frequency.
also, with 100V C-E TIP127 is probably impossible to increase pulse width without waste of power on a heat, in my opinion.
I would like to make a board as close to original one as possibly to get. also size of board grows with every additional pot setting at it. so original concept - submersible - with minimal amount of pots and swithes housing is more convenient IMO.

There are in The Electrical Experimeter issue May 1917 nice small article about one of first (if not first at all) electronic (not electrical as before) approach to coin detecting. Thanks for Barracuda tips too.
