  • motion non motion setting

Hi all...I have just completed 2 barra's, both working although one works best with a 9v battery the other with a 10.8v. I have seen that it can be made a motion or non motion detector at the moment they are in moth in mode...how do you change it to non motion mode....also how do you set up the trim pots properly...I have a multimeter but no scope.....any help is very welcome.....step by step non expert explanation please...

Baracuda is not my thing, but if I wanted to put it into motion/non motion, I'd replace ground connection of R35 100k resistor with a switch to ground. If long connection wires are expected, I'd replace it with with a FET, its gate should be connected to ground with, say, 100k, and a switch should be connected between ground and Vss. I'm referring to a Rev. "D" schematic of 21 November 2012.
    Something like this:

      wouldn't a switch there just keep the N-channel J-FET turned on ???

      beter,
do it how CSCOPE used to do it.............

      replace 100k with a 1MEG,
then the switch goes from above the resistor to MINUS VOLTAGE.

an N-CHANNEL JFET requires a minus voltage to turn it off,
      usually below -3v.

        OOPPSS !!!

        my mistake,
        switch was connected to VSS,

        YUP, that'll work..........
        silly me.
dived in there without looking closely.

        DAM YOU VSS and VDD,
why can't we just use + and - and the earth symbol............
        LOL.
