  • Baracuda Rev 2 Non Motion

Can anyone direct me on how to setup a Silverdog Baracuda Revision 2 Board to operate in non motion mode. My Board is up and operating but would like the solid tone when over metal instead of the constantly waving beep when ya pass over something motion mode. Thanks.

yes there is 'switch' and place at board for the connection, on Alexis' PCB rev A. but it is not connected.

This board came without parts list and has resistor values on the board where they go. I would assume the switch would go somewhere in the location as on the revision A Board

I built silverdogs board as is and it works as a no motion detector with no switch. I think it depends what components you use. I used the original TIP. When I originally built it the iron discrimination was working well. However while tweaking the detector it has lost this feature I only changed the coil and POT settings. Not done any beach detecting for ages I will have to re visit the Baracuda and set it properly.

Can Silverdog's Baracuda Legend Rev 2 board be made to operate in non-motion mode? If so how is it done?

who did say you that static mode will help you? your problem probably in shielding of housing and coil

I have no problems with my build currently. I'm finding objects at good depth in ground. I simply would prefer for the Revision 2 board to operate in non motion mode as opposed to the motion mode if this is possible. If this board is a revision to the revision d board then it should also be capable to switch between motion and non-motion mode, a feature that I would like to add. If the Rev 2 board cannot be made to operate in non-motion mode then I will have to settle for what I have. If anyone knows how to add the switch to a Rev 2 board I would be grateful to know how to do it.

i do not know what still to say. i made Delta Pulse project and thinking i closed true non-motion mode matter forever.
this is why I only copied original bara board, without non-motion, or another, mod addition.
oldier PI schematics have true NM mode but novaday has SAT/self autotuning that attaching property
of NM to SAT just cause you may to change a speed of SAT by a pot, some kinda you get pseudo-NM.

may be you meet an interference. so if electric line standart in your country (why you do not wish to write what is your country in profile?)
50 Hz you have to tune the generator frequency on 50x2xN value. 600 Hz? its OK be cause 50x2x6. 800 Hz?
50x2x8. Sven did freq tune pot, for that, in his MIRAGE.

be slightly active here. i do not see your pics and your youtube uploads where you show your problems at beach.
people see your unwillingness to cooperate with us and do not wish to answer you with their perfect English.
