Big difference. The Tone of the two are also different which indicates the 'timing' is different, tone produced from Coil's Gate drive.

      What about the Sample timing?
Timing can cause this big a difference.

Yes, you need to O'scope to check these.

Yes, the timing is probably wrong.
        It goes like this:

        1) Main pulse, 100uS width
        2) Main delay, adjustable by trimer, 0-64uS
        3) First gate pulse, 45uS width
        4) Pause between gates 45uS
        5) Second gate pulse, 45uS width
        6) another pause, 45uS width

I'll have to measure all this at original Barracuda and see.

Timing is corrected and now is:
            1) TX pulse width 80uS
            2) Main Delay adjustable 0-64uS (in non motion mode correlates with treshold position, with maximum treshold will not allow delay bellow 35uS... and just maybe this is result of messy and bulky wires setup).
            3) First gate pulse width is 42uS now (as on original with CD40106)
            4) Delay between first and second gate is 120uS now!!! (as on original Barracuda)
            5) Second gate pulse width is 42uS now (as on original with CD40106)
            6) additional 25uS before next cycle.
            ...
I simply replicated what i measured with oscilloscope on original Barracuda setup.

Just added MUR460 on IRF drain. Now allows minimum delay 28uS to 30uS (min. treshold - max. treshold)

                Much better ivconic.
Now to figure out why the other timing produced such bad results.

                  Problem is in hardware.
Too many modifications at once, none previously checked separately.

                      Total success with new hardware.
                      Best Barra so far.

                            Next task:
                            - return output of last opamp to ADC at Atmega.
                            - process detection voltage
                            - generate vco output from Atmega.
                            - display some data on LCD.

Good job, what voltage did you end up with on the UNO (-5 gnd )??????
