    cheers and regards

edit: i say better my language is presain and this is hard to me to find them,so hard for me and i yet dont know about them.

I THINK SHOULD RETURN 180DEG MPS2222A (SEE THE DATASHEET PLEASE AND SAY ME)

    • I think your damper resistor cannot be 0.25W. Consider that by using IRF9640, the flyback pulse may reach as high as 200V and most 1/4 watt resistors will not be rated for 200V.
Should use 1/2 watt resistor as minimum, and even better would be to use
1W resistor. Also, your 1k preamp input resistor should also not be 0.25W. Get something bigger or else it may crap out one day and you will likely never find the problem. Just my opinion. It's an uphill battle trying to get PCB "engineers" to design their boards to be durable.

The MPS2222 silkscreen has the package outline reversed. E,B,C printing is correct but the outline should be turned around as should your transistor.

Please do not use TL081. The null pins don't match.

      • Hello everyone!

This is my first post and unfortunally about a Silverdogs PCB not working. I did check some components but i would be very happy if you can help me with a idea or two.

I solderd all the components together and than made a coil (typicall 24awg, 20cm diameter 21turns). Connected everything to 11V lipo and there was a long and loud beep. And than nothing. So i started chacking the components:

        1. I get +5V and -5V from 79L05 and 78L05.
        2. I checked pins on 7660S. I get -9V on pin 5. The frequency on pins CAP+ and - is around 3 kHz. Pin OSC gives me solid 4V (Is this ok?)
        3. The NE5534P pin 6 is acting funny. In the picture is the signal.

        4. Also there is no signal on the coil.
        5. At 9.6V battery there is only 20mA of current.
        6. There is no beep whatsoever.

Cany you help me with some ideas?

        Thank you !

        • Hello Pepsy, you removed the FET Q5? take the test without it.

          • There is no Q5 FET on silverdog's PCB. So sadly i can't remove it.

            Tnx for help anyway!

              • Hm...

PIN 8 IC CD40106 has 0V and nos signal
                Collector on 2n2222 has 9V.

I'm afraid maby along the way i reversed battery polarity or something... as jap said - fatal mistake.
Well i hope the problem can still be found..

So i guess i'm in a world of...
And there is no voltage on coil...

Do you have an ide what component could be faulty?

Also is it normal to have 9V on IRF9640 G and S???

                    Have a nice day!

                    • Pepsy, check pin 7 IC CD40106 -5 volts pin 14 GND pin 8 must have pulse width around 80US often 'close to 640 hertz, if not teetering verify components and IC.
                      Hugs.

                      • Pepsy, the tension you mentioned is 9V battery, which battery you are using 9V or 12V?
She's not bad with the load?
                        Hugs.

First i used 11.1 lipo, but now i use 9V battery.

                          CD40106 pin 7 has -5 ... OK
                          CD40106 pin 14 GND ... OK
CD40106 pin 8 no signal! (What components to check? ALL? )

                          And thank you for help!
If i would go to church i would pray, but i dont...
