What do you mean by "delete resistors"?
After changing 40106 i test with metal and coil is giving very very very very small reaction to my mobile phone. It is also giving very small reaction if i change shape of the coil. The tone is low and ugly. My coil is not the precise size but only for testing.

This is my third time (failure).

Just wondering why, there known design problems to it, which is why the guys worked so hard to revise it with the Geotech barracuda version, it works perfectly, I also tried the AB version and it had issues.

Kt i changed direction of 2N2222 and now i can zero the voltage on pin6 of 5534. I will change 40106 now.

Chubaba if you have constant 0.48v on 5534 and you buy the parts online/unknown store source 5534 from two more places and try to replace. For the rest i cant help as i'm still not started mine, but the offset issue is similar whenever 5534 is concerned.

offset is tune easely. tune o-scope on flat part of signal, afar of 'cutted delta pulse' part, and tune zero.
do not use tester.

DO NOT USE TESTER AGAIN TO TUNE OFFSET. you guys must know that that is impulse signal, not clear sinus or DC, and you can not use tester in this case.

Today it is mostly beeping on its own in lowish tone (i think it is picking its own waves). Detecting a euro size coin at distance of 4 inches but it is not detecting gold at all. I put gold ring on surface of coil but no response. Also it is completely silent if switch 1 is ON.

A quick question about where you have reliable source for 2N5485, MPF102, PN4391,PN4393 or 2SK170? I think these are the last elements i need. Got almost everything from Farnel but they have no stock of the above. Thanks.
