I ordered some PCBs from JLCPCB on the 9th March (see post #36), and have literally just received a DHL delivery on the 16th March.
That's only 7 days from sending the Gerber files and receiving the final product delivered to my door in the UK.

I haven't made a test video I'm afraid, but 'Surfdetector' has made a very nice series of videos on his YouTube channel about constructing and testing it.

No test video I'm afraid. As for whether it's better or worse than the Polones and/or ti12000, I really can't say as I'm not familiar with those.
I would say that it works as expected for a mono-coil, analogue, pulse induction detector. I like it, but then I'm biased

I haven't checked for substitutes but any NPN transistor with a reasonably high gain (say hfe above 300) and able to handle reasonable power (at least 1/2 watt) should be fine if using the audio with headphones.
