Impressive.
I take it the Top Blue trace is the Analog output to the DSPic. Correct?
Any chance of updated schematics?
Hi Waltr ... the blue trace is the output from the preamp ( 100 x ) into the sampler ( DG411 ) ... the sampler then feeds the integrator which feeds the PIC ADC.
The purple trace is the flyback at the input to the RX blocking mosfet.
The yellow trace is the TX gate drive.
I could not get all the components on the surface mount version in through hole format ... so I need to modify the integrator a bit then update schematics.
..hmmm I think the time is coming when there are not going to be adequate parts to build thru - hole projects
Finished the integrator ... included all damping modes in the front end. V2_1 boards ordered.

Nice work Moodz,
I'm so used to SMD, 0402, BGA etc that through hole will be a challenge for me now and I'm one of the "Old boys"
I can see why a lot of folk want TH but really, 0805 size components are not that bad and perhaps a good middle ground for those transitioning from TH to SMD.
At some stage, it's probably gonna be a forced decision, when, who knows but hats off to Moodz for this design, it's well layed out and practical.

SM is quicker to build .... if you have the right gear ... same as everything I suppose.
Meantime the latest boards have arrived ... fixed integrator.

That's true......
White overlay, looks neat... what was wrong with integrator Moodz?
I ordered my PCB design Thurs 17/1 late afternoon, they are on DHL already so sometime this week I'll get delivery.
If they are as good a quality as the boards you have shown, I'll be happy.
10 x double sided 66 x 38mm $5 plus $20 freight.....not bad at all.

Somehow I left the "reset" / leakage resistors off the integrator caps
Hope your boards are OK ... only had good service with PCBWay.
Yeah good quality, I'll be using them for my new designs, and yeah, it's a version of Mickstv's variable pitch/variable level audio circuit he posted back a few years ago which I had on a crappy bit of copper board for bench use ..it was time for a decent board and I wanted to try PCBway.
Generally, I use a digital version in my designs but sometimes analog is a better fit and I thought Mick's circuit was worthy of a PCB.
Usually, I will do 2 sided board prototyping on my cnc with isolation milling but I snapped my last bit and the MSSOP package was a little small for the remaining bits i had on hand...
Small job...big lazy...and too hot in workshop atm
I'll post pic and schematic in a separate thread once I load and test pcb.
How is your board going have you had a chance to load and test?
