  • this thread has been derailed by a deliberate attempt to extract information , this is a development thread, moodz is under no obligation to say anything to anyone he does not want to, besides this has nothing to do with the subject at hand.
people here are using the tell us how it works or else routine, banned members are here with new names just to stir it up.
it only reinforces my stance that no projects with commercial possibilities either real or imagined have any place in the public domain.
moodz, its time to take this underground into a private forum, there will be no new developments here, this is bugwhiskers all over again, and should have been nipped in the bud 2 pages ago.

1/64 applies to the attenuation of the return signal! ie 1/8 far field attenuation on axis for transmit field and 1/8 attenuation on axis far field for return signal giving the well known 1/64 attenuation except in the case I mentioned!

          • I will agree with one thing, this whole discussion is deja vu all over again, and history hasn't been kind to these things. My suggestions are:

Moodz: Stop discussing your developments (here and elsewhere) until you are actually ready to discuss them. As in, you have a working detector in hand. Please review infamous Post #76.

PJ, Paul99, et al: Don't worry about claimants; they ain't hurting you, they ain't hurting me, and they ain't hurting Minelab. History shows these things always work out in the end, and maybe one day it won't work out as expected and we'll see something New & Improved.

Doug: Until Bugs is done thanking you for all your help, take the can of gasoline back to AEGPF.

            • I am going back to the early days of this thread where circuits were published and plonkers ignored.
Whatever I am working on in the background will stay there.

here, here i'm lucky that work projects dont encroach here, and for me here is just hobby stuff, but my "employer" doesn't even like us disscusing stuff we working on in the canteen!, so its just as well really.
the problems arise when fresh eyes are needed, so you avoid dead ends, in r+d/prototyping a trusted work partner can not be overstated.

                  • Hi Paul. Am I missing something, disregarding my numerous request directed to you by me.

I am questioning you on this quote from you on the AEGP forum, that I just read but cannot reply.

"...its very hard to develop or release anything with all the "support" we get".

What exactly do you mean if you dont mind answering?

I am overly confused as to what approach you are undertaking.
I guess it is your choice or other circumstances preventing you ATM.

                    Regards Sid

                    • Sido ... I don't have any PMs from you and as far as I know you cant receive any .. The two I sent bounced. You could be one of those clowns from the traveling circus who seem to have it in for anyone developing detectors.

If that is how you make assumptions Paul, I have no time for it.

Wish you all the the best.

                          • Detector development is alive and well in many Countries, but the smart ones do not blab it all over the web.

Some may have their reasons for doing so?

                              • I would say, the greedy ones do not blab it all over the web.

Ok, I'm totally greedy rather than smart. My WBGB hasn't been really blabbed. It is still a "top secret ultimate thermo-nuclear melt-down technology"(c)(r)(tm). *LOL*
