  • Not blabbing it all over the web makes establishing priority much harder. patents are quite narrow in defining an idea. So blabbing + patents = harder to knock off.
People hiding their so called developments risk being prevented from using their own invention ... Did I mention full depth detection and discrimation with auto ground cancel and no sensitivity loss or hole ....oh dear ... Must be blabbing again.:-)

This seems reasonable to me! Sounds to me like the ultimate detector!

        • I find it quite amusing actually
Its very easy in this world to point the finger at at someone and take the Michael, but in reality its them very people that have the insecurity's and short Cummings.
Moodz in my opinion is a hands on clever engineer, not just playing with simulations , I know as a fact he has working designs that could be retailed here in the UK, If it wasn't for all the red tape and expenses involved.
The only thing that put me out a bit was in the early days of development it was open source to everyone and I bought parts for it, then nothing like so many other projects on here.
My fault though been green, Have learned how the system works.
One tip I would like to give those of you who keep saying you have developed something special but have nothing to back it up, Just keep it to yourself s because Anyone here with a ounce of intelligence, know its in your dreams not reality, its children's playground banter during the period of wanting something that someone's already got..... (ML) lol
All the best no malice intended

No wonder. Lawyers are vampires & blood suckers! *LOL*

              • Moodz had some interesting stuff. I was hoping he would make some PCB's available for his UniPI
(or have someone else ((hint hint Silverdog))). A lot of people want to try their hand at software
but need a platform to start with. He published the full source and a Designspark file but then
quickly moved off onto bigger and better things.

Maybe we can get some pcb's made and resurrect that project?

V2.30 might be a place to start. As it's (mostly) fully documented. Any one want to get some boards made?

V3.00 had a serial port to communicate. That might be a good addition. (actually this had 7 pulse drivers too).

V4.00 had 7 pulse drivers and 6 24 bit ADC channel's! This is what tends to happen, you always want more
so never stop redesigning. With all the new super chips coming out it's tough to stop...

Or maybe one of these with a WM8731 on it...

Do the above claims actually mean what most readers think they mean? E.g., what does "full depth detection" mean and does this incomprehensible claim indicate the level of faith we should have in your other claims? Errrr... don't all detectors have full depth detection?

So I can help protect my invention by blabbing it all over the net years before I'm ready to demonstrate the device, or forever? Suppose I claim to have invented a pill that when added to a car's fuel tank enables it run on water. Would you believe this claim if I didn't provide proof? Should I be angry with those who do ask for proof? Do you really believe those who ask for proof are in the wrong, as you suggested in previous posts?

I hope you aren't relying on an innovation patent.

No worse than the vague, meaningless and open ended phrase “adapted and arranged” and other incomprehensible claims and phrases and verbose waffle that are used frequently in some other well known patents!

“adapted and arranged” in this case refers to a means to demodulate the high, medium and low frequency components of the received ground signal. Most people skilled in the art would know how to do this, so "adapted and arranged" is sufficient in this case and doesn't bog the explanation down with unnecessary text. The fact that you don't understand something as simple as this is no surprise to anyone and shows why your opinions should be ignored.

Many patents use the term "adapted" but it seems your mind gets confused when "adapted" is combined with "arranged". Weird eh?

Your turn now Doug, tell us what you think "full depth detection" means.

                      • Rh you really should concentrate on learning to read English with emphasis on conjunctions and pronouns.

"Full depth detection AND discrimination". .....plonker.

Sorry i don't agree with you!
adapted how? arranged how? Still vague! Those skilled in the art should know precisely how the demodulation is done and the how frequency components are combined or utilized!
With "full depth detection" I believe that Moodz is claiming ( or should have said) his discrimination depth is the same as his non discriminating depth.

And you should concentrate on not trying to defend the indefensible Doug. How about "discrimination to full detection depth" rather than the scrambled English you are trying to defend and justify.

I think my explanation is quite clear!!!!!!
