As for the rest of your dribble, wake up to yourself. You knew nothing of any disability suffered by the person you were ridiculing, and the fact you were prepared to go on the way you did has nothing to do with you having a disability. You have a real chip on your shoulders, and you need to seek psychiatric help. If it needs someone like me to take the ridicule to you so you can understand how others feel then so be it.

    • A New Quiz-Game

      Ok guys,

you know, I like the quiz-games.
      What is better?
A thicker coil bundle (larger wire-to-wire distance) or
a more compact coil bundle (smaller wire-to-wire distance) for a fixed inductance?

Who is smart enough to solve this quiz?

At the instant the max energy stored in the inductance of a resonant circuit the amount of energy stored can be expressed as1/2L(Imax)^2 where I= current and L= inductance . The amount of energy dissipated per cycle in the circuit resistance then is the product of R and the sq of the rms current times the period T of one cycle. Ie R(Imax/sq root2)^2/F since T=1/f Q may them be calculated purely in terms of impedance ie Q=Omega L/R. Note however that the real value of L can only be calculated when the distributed capacitance of the inductor is taken into account. It should be noted that reducing the distributed capacitance and the proximately effect not only increases Q but results in improved antenna efficiency which is exactly one of the benefits of spider wound coils compared to bundle wound coils something the parrot is obviously unaware of!
You are a few kangaroos short in the top paddock Doug. You engage in a google frenzy and then present your new found equations with no data hoping that it will miraculously prove something.

Fill in the data and get back to us. (Make sure you provide data to explain why ML use high Q TX coils but low Q DD RX coils).

        • Found this old thread, might be worth looking at.

Hey bugs, I have "pirated" your magnificient coil software without asking you. I hope, you don't sue me legally...
It is for the benefit of all (and to tarr & feather the forum-trolls of course *LOL*) .
I could post the coil model files here, if you want them (as a compensation for my illegal pirating action).

            Cheers,
            ^sif

Parrot tell us what coils you have measured the Q on and what ML models did they work with or not work with? Also why should i help you answer a question which i doubt you know the answer to? Then tell us how how you measured the coil Q! As for coil data the only data that matters is how the coil performs in the real world over typical GF ground! The spider wound mono coil i used satisfied me that it was superior to any commercial coil of equivalent diameter! end of story! Now prove me wrong!!!!!!!

Pardee, do you think you could try to lift your standards out of the gutter you inhabit and refrain from calling others denigrating names just because they show you up as being an ignorant know-it-all? If you want to stop the denigration of yourself then stop denigrating others.

I think, the ML engineers are weaving too.... *LOL*

Why don't you explain what "looks good!" to you, and why. We could all do with a laugh.

                            • i just wanted to correct, someone up the thread claimed that no one has commercially produced a stock basket weave coil, which is untrue the barracuda's stock coil is an 8" basket weave.
the reason that MD manufacturers dont use them is due to the cost and man hours involved i producing such a coil.
