My Detector and Gold

I have recently done an Upgrade on my PI detector project. It Incorporates some parts changes, as well as the addition of controls to Vary most of the parameters of the various times. Gold detection is improved, (a 1/2 Gram Nugget at 1 1/2 inches on one setup that is shown) but I will continue to do more testing and playing with it.

Hi Gene, I don't really have any Silver, other than some old Canadian Dimes that are >90% Silver, but Presently I'm only working on Gold Nuggets as most requests I get are for that.
Additionally this coil is Quite Small, as you can see. And it seems to do better on smaller objects.

It detects a 1/2" long piece of 18AWG COPPER wire at 1" on Flat, and about 3/4 " on end.

your site is perfect made and it is so much support for these who building your detectors, i have one question for you: did you try to detect golden ring and how deep it can be found, and what size of coil can do it, and will you plan to make PCB for SMD elements?
